Children’s Sunday School
Weekly classes from 9-10am from preschool through high school, gives kids the opportunity to explore the Bible at age-appropriate levels and see how the message of Jesus addresses all of life. Each week, children through 4th grade start together with opening exercises where they sing together before going to their individual classes. See below for a more detailed listing of classes.
A monthly club meeting for boys ages 6-13 to help them build a God-centered life with fellowship around LEGO-building, food, and Jesus. The club meets on the second Friday of the month downstairs at Calvary.
Calvary Girls: Showing True Beauty
A monthly time of connection and fellowship for girls age 11 through 12th grade focused on how and why to follow Jesus into adulthood. Meetings are on the second Friday of the month in the upstairs Conference Room
Weekly men’s breakfast challenging and encouraging each other about issues relating to faith, family, work, and relationships. Men gather every Wed morning from 6:30-7:30am, downstairs at the church in the Fellowship Hall; coffee and breakfast provided. ON the last Wednesday of each month, they meet at Mariner’s Cove Restaurant for breakfast at 6:30am in Brielle.
Women gather regularly through book clubs, Bible studies, and fellowship breakfasts. In addition, a women’s Sunday School class is frequently offered on Sunday mornings.
Our Youth Group for students age 11 through 12th grade gathers monthly to focus on how and why to follow Jesus into adulthood
Members of Calvary are actively involved in local ministry. We partner with the Interfaith Action Network to care for the homeless in our region. We partner with other churches to tutor at-risk children. And we host a worship service at local retirement community at least twice a month.
Adult Sunday School
The purpose of Sunday School is to emphasize the importance of lifelong learning of the Bible’s teaching and how it applies to every aspect of our lives. Courses are offered each Sunday morning from 9:10-10am from September to June and cover a variety of theological topics, books of the Bible, and practical life studies.
