As we come together to worship our Lord each week, there are many parts to our “Worship Service.” The songs that we sing are meant to be part of our praise; and God can use them to touch us. The lyrics to these songs may act as a prayer for us; they may exhort us; they may encourage us, and they may certainly edify us. The Gospel is often clearly presented through these songs and it’s a wonderful way to respond to God’s word planted in our hearts. As songs are picked each week, we look for those that have deep lyrics, as well as moving tunes. Sometimes this stretches us in that we have to “chew” and meditate on the words that we are singing! It causes us to be active participants in this part of our worship service. The songs that we sing lift up the name of our God, and may continue to do so as we go forth from our time together. Music has a way of getting into our hearts.
Our style is one in which we combine the traditional with the contemporary. We love leading our body in corporate worship. This is not entertainment; but rather a chance to worship our King together. As we seek to bring songs to our body, we do so with the eyes of artists who love music; but also with the eyes of believers who love the deep truths of God. We want these deep truths to be the foundation of our music ministry.
Our praise band currently practices each week at 7:45 am on Sunday mornings. Should you have any questions or interest in this ministry, please feel free to ask any team member or contact the church office.
